Pumpkin STEAM

Mrs. Danielian’s first graders have been digging into the depths of the pumpkin patch through a variety of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) based disciplines.

Cooperative learning with hands on experience provided these students real life examples of how God’s precise design and mathematical truths all point back to God as the master creator.

Students modeled, through partner work, this month’s character quality trait of unity. Mrs. Danielian’s cooperative learning strategies helped these students apply the truths that our most important work is done together as in Proverbs 27:17.

Through collaborating, critical thinking, and problem solving these first graders are developing skills preparing them for the more technologically driven society they are growing up in. Even if a student is not called into a purpose with these disciplines at the core, their foundation for developing a passion and love for God and His ways are growing here.

Warsaw Christian School students are taught science grounded in the truth through a Biblical worldview from preschool through 6th grade. Our strong science instruction has allotted our students to have the highest science scores in our area. Our students understand that science and God go hand in hand and that God is the perfect designer of all things. Observing our students excel in academics continues to remind me that, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of all wisdom” (Proverbs 9:10). Praise the Lord for the privilege of Christian education!
